Attributes

Attributes are user-filled fields that define certain characteristics of a portal object (Assets, Places, and Geofences for example). These fields provide additional descriptive information about the object, and allow managers and operators to store pertinent information in their ecosystem in an organized way.

This can be used to store this information securely with the rest of the Asset data instead of being in a separate database, and can also be used for active management in real time. During emergency events, when communicating with responders, or when trying to compile audit information, having information stored in the Asset’s data fields can save a significant amount of time and resources.
